For the 19th year in a row, on the last Wednesday of April, millions worldwide wear denim in solidarity with victims of sexual violence. This year, the so-called Denim Day fell on April 25, and, as is tradition, New York City supported an international campaign to raise awareness of rape and sexual assault with the charity Denim Fashion Show. Tatiana Shefer, a Russian designer and founder of Shopfans wig, an exclusive wig brand, was the only hair stylist to take part in styling the charity show at Brooklyn’s Lytehouse Studio.
Tatiana Shefer is a recognized international expert and owner of a designer atelier of premium natural and artificial hair products: wigs, ponytails and bangs, hair replacement systems, etc. The Shopfans wig brand offers unique design solutions based on innovative technologies, individual sketches, and client parameters.
Tatiana has been engaged for several years in producing and selling exclusive wigs worldwide and participating in various fashion events, where she acts as a stylist to create conceptual images using her wigs. Participation in charitable projects is at the heart of the philosophy of the fashion company.
In Russia, Shefer works closely with hospitals and foundations and conducts educational work on the use and selection of wigs for women who are faced with losing their hair for health reasons. A certain number of wigs are produced free of charge for needy women who are faced with the corresponding diagnoses.
Last year, Shefer was already a guest stylist-volunteer for a charity show in Brooklyn – at Pink Runway 2017, where she worked with American designers on fashionable images of women who have overcome breast cancer. And now, as a volunteer, she supports Denim Fashion Week and expresses her solidarity with the victims of sexual violence.
Tatiana explored new designer denim collections and created a unique collection of colorful wigs that harmoniously completed the runway looks designed by the designers. Fruitful work in close cooperation with Western fashion designers allowed the wig designer from Russia to fully reveal his creative potential and realize it in a new format. While designers demonstrated the latest denim clothing trends, Tatiana Shefer set hair trends.
She once again proved that modern wigs are indispensable fashion accessories that allow women to try on different looks and experiment with style, length, shape, and color of hair. This is the best device for quick do-it-yourself styling and a flawless appearance.
That is why wigs have not left the catwalks for the past few years, and they are chosen by stars and girls who follow current trends. Wigs, in their diversity, are present in the trendy looks of models at the shows of famous designers and demonstrate the demand for this accessory.
The popularity of wigs and denim is growing thanks to stylish women who choose not only comfort, style, and versatility of the combination but also value their time, want always to be different, try on new things and at the same time remain seductive and attractive.
Therefore, the collaboration of denim from new designer collections with exclusive Shopfans wig wigs for Denim Fashion Week is based on the philosophy of freedom of choice in clothing style and hairstyle – whatever this choice may be, and it cannot mean a woman’s tacit consent to sexual rape.
