In today’s world, you must present yourself professionally and with a sense of style. From the gym to the office and everywhere, we get constantly scrutinized for our appearance. We need to put our best foot forward by dressing appropriately for the occasion.

Also, it is just as important to choose accessories wisely, especially when it comes to earrings.

A great pair of earrings can instantly transform your entire look. Selecting the right earring shape for your face will help you look more attractive and boost your confidence. You can refer to the several options available online and buy here after going through the various types.

Your forehead is wider than your jawline, and you have more prominent cheekbones for a heart-shaped face. Your chin is narrow. Think Reese Witherspoon, Jennifer Love Hewitt, or Scarlett Johansson.

Heart-shaped faces are among the most versatile when it comes to jewelry. You’re lucky! You can wear just about anything, from dainty studs to statement pieces that dangle down to your shoulders (steer clear of anything that adds width at the top of your head). The most flattering choices will balance out the narrowness at the bottom of your face.

Focus on wider bottom earrings, like hoops, teardrops, ovals, and chandelier styles. Avoid long pointy earrings as these will make your chin look even narrower.

    Round Faces

Round faces tend to have a long and wide outline, with a smooth jaw and rounded chin. This face shape gets best complimented by earrings that add length or width to your face. For example, dangles can elongate your look, while chandelier or shoulder dusters will give you an appearance of more width at the shoulders and a longer neckline.

Don’t mistake thinking that round faces are similar to oval faces, though: earrings for oval faces should be shorter than those for round shapes because ovular faces already have much more length than width. As such, avoid long dangles, which will only further magnify the size of your face!

    Oval Faces

Oval faces can pull off nearly any type of earring!

An oval face is longer than it is wide. It also has a gently rounded chin, and the jawline doesn’t curve as steeply as other types of faces.

Many people are born with an oval face, but if you’re unsure about your shape, using a mirror to trace an outline of your face onto a piece of paper will help you figure out its actual shape. Once you establish that your face is indeed oval-shaped, you can have fun selecting colors and styles to bring out the best in your look!

Small studs may be too delicate for your proportions. Studs are typically best suited for those with narrow faces or smaller heads. Since your head shape is larger than most, small studs may look tiny or get lost against your features. However, large studs can still work for this face type when worn with a high-collared blouse or jacket. It helps give your studs more prominence by framing them on each side.

Hoops should be large enough to fit comfortably around the entire width of your earlobe without rubbing uncomfortably against its back (which can lead to irritation). If hoops are too tight, they could pinch and hurt a bit over time; too loose, and they won’t stay put in their intended place behind the ears.

    Square Faces

If you have a square face, the most flattering earrings are the ones that will help soften your angles. The best way to do this is with a long dangle, whether sleek and minimalist or bold and statement-making.

These can be simple or ornate, and you can choose whichever appeals most to your aesthetic sensibility. Hoop earrings also work very well for people with square faces, as they help to elongate your visage.

You may want to avoid studs (which tend to emphasize the angular shape of your cheekbones) and any square or geometric shapes (which can have the same effect).

    Extended Oval Face Shapes

The extended oval face shape is long from top to bottom and has a rounded chin. The face will be longer than wide, with the jawline and forehead being almost equal in width. Your goal is to make your face appear shorter and your features more balanced.

Earrings that will work well for this face shape: Studs, hoops, chandeliers, or any earring with a dangle or drop will help balance out this long face shape by drawing attention toward your chin and mouth. Avoid large hoops as they may still accentuate the length of your face.

Earrings to avoid: Long linear earrings like chandelier or drop-style earrings can elongate an already narrow facet and make it appear even longer. Also, steer clear of oversized clingy earrings that don’t have a lot of movement. They are likely to make you look less glamorous because they don’t add contrast to your facial structure.

Apt Face Shape and Earring Fit

Choosing the right earrings for your face shape will give you a more beautiful look with every outfit. You can greatly benefit from knowing which type of earring will best compliment your face and make you look even more beautiful with every outfit.

It is especially vital when choosing earrings for formal events, but it will also help you pick out more casual ones as well. Different earring styles can complement different faces. Considering some factors, such as width, length, and the symmetry of your face, you can quickly determine the right pair of earrings for yourself.

You can go for a style that is symmetrical or at least pairs up well with your balanced facial features. In other words, if you have a long and narrow face, then choose a pair that has similarly long lines and so on. If in doubt about what asymmetrical means, think about a triangle or an oval versus a square shape or rectangle (the opposite).

You can go for something wider than what would match up with an oval-shaped face because this makes it look slimmer without adding any bulkiness around your jawline area (which might make it seem heavier).
